KETCH OPEN POSITIONS POSTING

Accounting Assistant:  Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. An opportunity to support the accounting department.  Position includes verifying billing, inputting data, sorting, scanning documents, filing, answering telephone, greeting public, and mail distribution. Requires attention to detail, high level of accuracy and  proficiency with MS Office.  High school diploma/GED required, and at least one year accounting experience. 

Bus Driver: (1-FT) FT  M-F split shift 6:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. plus 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.   Bus driver for 16 passenger buses – steady hours year round.  Responsible to transport persons served safely to/from work and medical appointments.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid CDL, and good driving record.  DOT physical and drug and alcohol testing will be required.  Prefer previous driver experience.

Case Manager:  (2) FT position M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Targeted Case Manager provides case management services to eligible persons by developing, linking, coordinating, and monitoring services, support and resources within and outside of KETCH.  Serves as a program manager for individuals on caseload and facilitates the development and implementation of the personal plan. Responsible for home visits, assisting individuals with obtaining Medicaid/SSI funds, and advocating for individuals on case load. Requires 4 ½ years verifiable direct care experience OR BA/BS plus six months direct care in a human service capacity, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.

Community Inclusion Specialist (CIS):  (3-FT-10th, Rutgers, Legacy)  M-F  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  CISs have the opportunity to empower individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities by assisting them in making choices and decisions to promote independence and productivity.  Responsibilities include planning and engaging individuals in stimulating, meaningful, & functional activities; developing and following a daily schedule of activities, therapeutic services & training; and providing training on accessing and utilizing community resources.  Requires strong communication and conflict resolution skills.  Must be creative, compassionate, energetic and able to motivate others.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, good driving record and dependable vehicle. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less. Prior knowledge or experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required. 

Direct Support Professionals/CLTs:  Community Living Trainers have the opportunity to work with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a home setting. This position provides training on basic life skills to help the individual be as independent as possible. The staff person must possess basic skills and be able to teach someone how to cook, clean, grocery shop, participate appropriately in community activities, and be safety aware. Must be able to read and understand the goals of persons served, and assist the individual to achieve those goals.  Requires a two-week, weekday, daytime orientation – Paid!  All available positions are evening and weekend shifts. Full time positions that require sleepover are $10.50/hour, positions without sleepover are $9.50/hour. Requires a HS diploma/GED. Prior experience in a related position working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred. Requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and must have a dependable vehicle and proof of vehicle insurance. Skills required include: strong verbal and written communication skills, conflict resolution and problem solving ability, organizing and time management skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less.

Life Skills Trainer: (1- ALS, 1-CC, 2-ENCORE).   FT, M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  Life Skills Trainers work with individuals with severe and multiple disabilities in a day program setting providing training on basic life skills to promote as much independence as possible. Must be able to read and implement plans and goals specific to individuals. Requires assisting individuals with hygiene and providing some personal care. Skills required include strong written and oral communication skills, conflict resolution skills, creativity and organizational skills. Must be compassionate, dependable, patient, creative, energetic and be able to motivate others. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less. Must have knowledge regarding the needs of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and good driving record.

LPN – Part time:  (1-Nursing).  M-F 8 a.m. -12:00 p.m.  with rotating after hours on-call responsibilities.  Provides direct health care services to persons served; schedules and assists person to doctor appointments; serves as a liaison between physicians, nurses, and outside health care professionals; ensures medical documentation is current, filed, and organized; communicates necessary health information to team members;  assists with Wellness Monitoring every 60 days and Medication Cycle fill every 28 days.  Requires HS diploma/GED, current KS LPN license, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and good communication skills.  Some travel within Wichita area required.  Prefer knowledge or experience working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities and physical disabilities.

RN – Part time:  PT position, Monday, Wednesday, Friday  8:00a.m.-4:30p.m. with rotating after hours on-call responsibilities.  Responsible to assist with overseeing medical services for individuals served.  Directs services for persons served - develops and maintains physical and mental health, monitors medical needs and medical changes, ensures medical files are current and follow up is provided on reports.  Assists with training for staff on medications administration.  Provides input to interdisciplinary teams.  Some travel within Wichita area required.  Requires current Kansas RN status, valid driver’s license and good driving record.  

Vocational Trainer: (1-WS) FT M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Responsible for supervising and direct training for persons served in the work services and vocational programs. Must be familiar with using a tape measure and have some basic math skills. Conducts assessments, participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team, and follows through in documenting training with persons served. Also responsible for production scheduling, job set-up, and quality control. Requires HS diploma/GED.

Vocational Trainer – Lead:  FT position, M-F 8:00-4:30 p.m.  Provides leadership to trainers and assures consistency among staff in training, philosophy, behavior support practices, safety and health procedures, documentation, etc.   Responsible for assuring that appropriate staffing is available to meet the needs of persons served.  Provides and arranges individualized support services which enable persons served to participate in meaningful tasks and activities.  Assists as a member of the support team to develop, implement and follow through with Person Centered Support Plans.  Assists staff to ensure the rights, health and safety of all persons served in the program.  Maintains appropriate records and ensures documentation is completed and submitted as required.  Conducts assessments and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.  Monitors production scheduling, job set-up, and quality control.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.  Experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
