Grand Exalted Ruler visits Kansas, KETCH

Grand Exalted Ruler Louis J. Grillo toured the KETCH facilities while in Wichita for the Kansas Elks Association’s 101st Annual State Convention. Grillo was impressed with the state’s project and enjoyed visiting with clients as he walked through their work areas complimenting each on a job well done.

The tour came to an end with Grillo using a hot-glue gun to assemble an air-filter. After listening to instructions from air-filter production coordinator Vicki Carrell, and slipping on a pair of protective gloves, Grillo tried his hand at gluing down a metal insert onto a cardboard frame.

Clients, Community Leaders and Businesses Honored at Annual Meeting

KETCH staff also presented awards to several clients, employers and community leaders at the Annual Meeting, Friday, May 5, 2006. Awards that recognized achievement at home, work or in the community were given to selected individuals served at KETCH; employers were recognized for their continued support of the employment programs; community leaders were honored for their leadership and guidance.

"Native Americans once believed that if a person had a dream and it was caught in a dream catcher then it would come true," Grillo said during the KETCH Annual Meeting. “I've seen dreams come true today. You are the dream catchers who make this life worth living and I thank you.”

Held in conjunction with the Kansas Elks Association’s State Convention at the Wichita Airport Hilton, the awards presentation, hosted by Ron Pasmore, KETCH president and CEO, was the highlight of the KETCH Annual Meeting.
