CAREER OPPORTUNITIES WITH KETCH

Behavior Trainer – PACE1:   FT, M-F 8:15-am to 4:15pm.  A rewarding opportunity arranging and providing support services which enable people with autism to participate in meaningful tasks and activities.  Assists the team to develop, implement, and follow through with Person Centered Plans; ensures the health, safety, and rights of all persons served in the program; and assists them in becoming integrated members of their community.  Maintains records and ensures documentation is completed and submitted as required. Requires a high school diploma/GED, current valid driver’s license and a good driving record.  Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

Bus Driver: (1- FT)    M-F split shifts 6:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. plus 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.   Bus drivers for 16 passenger buses – steady hours year round.  Responsible to transport persons served safely to/from work and medical appointments.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid CDL, and good driving record.  DOT physical and drug and alcohol testing will be required.  Prefer previous driver experience.

Community Inclusion Specialist (CIS):  FT (2-Derrick & Rushpointe)  M-F  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  CISs have the opportunity to empower individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities by assisting them in making choices and decisions to promote independence and productivity.  Responsibilities include planning and engaging individuals in stimulating, meaningful, & functional activities; developing and following a daily schedule of activities, therapeutic services & training; and providing training on accessing and utilizing community resources.  Requires strong communication and conflict resolution skills.  Must be creative, compassionate, energetic and able to motivate others. Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, good driving record and dependable vehicle. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less. Prior knowledge or experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required.

Computer Technician: (1) FT position primarily M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Responsible for managing and maintaining IT equipment including computers, printers, copiers, fax, projectors, etc.;  resolving problems with equipment and devices; updating computer user/groups on the network; installing and maintaining workstation/desktop software; maintaining inventory system; setting up new users; assisting with new employee orientation/training; purchasing/ordering IT equipment.   Advanced troubleshooting skills on Microsoft Operating Systems and full line of Microsoft Office products is required. Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field preferred, with at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a helpdesk environment supporting Windows workstations and remote users. Requires valid KS driver’s license and good driving record.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) – Group homes:  DSPs have the opportunity to support and coach adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in group home settings – to increase their independence.  $9.50-10.50/hr.  Evening/weekend shifts - PT & FT positions with consistent hours.  Responsible to provide training on basic life skills - building self-esteem and assertiveness, making choices and decisions,  improving health and safety awareness, and participating in the community.  Requires high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance.  Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is beneficial, but not required.   Requires strong communication skills and the ability to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight (whichever is less). Attendance at a two-week, weekday, daytime orientation required – paid training.

Environmental Services Technician:  (1-FT) Full time M-F 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.  Responsible for keeping KETCH properties and facilities clean and attractive – providing general cleaning of offices, work areas and restrooms.  Responsible to clean, vacuum, scrub, dust, dispose of trash, maintain adequate supplies, ensure facilities are secure, and assist with snow/ice removal as needed.  Requires working knowledge of safe and proper use of custodial equipment, materials, and chemicals. Previous janitorial experience preferred.  Must have a stable work history, be able to work independently, and be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ total body weight, whichever is less.

Human Resources Assistant:  FT M-F 8:00a.m.-4:30 p.m.  Provides support to all aspects of human resources.  Responsible for benefits administration, benefits accruals and account balancing, handling communication on workers comp, staff training on benefits, and assuring confidentiality of all information.  Maintains personnel files, policy manual, handbooks, verifications, and coordinates programs and events.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, good driving record, excellent communication skills, and one year experience.  Must have strong attention to detail, typing, ten key, Mircrosoft, and multitasking skills.  HR experience preferred.

Life Skills Trainer: (1- Osage)   FT, M-F 8:00-4:00 Life Skills Trainers get the opportunity to work with individuals with severe and multiple disabilities in a day program setting providing training on basic life skills to promote as much independence as possible.  Responsible for implementing plans and goals specific to each individual. Requires assisting individuals with hygiene and providing some personal care. Skills required include strong written and verbal communication skills and conflict resolution skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less. Knowledge regarding the needs of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities is beneficial. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Life Skills Trainer – Lead:  (ALS) M-F 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Responsible for providing direct training to persons served, providing and arranging support services, and assisting in providing activities in the community.  Provides leadership to trainers and assures consistency among staff in training, philosophy, behavior management practices, health procedures, documentation, etc.  Assures that appropriate staff are available at all times to meet individual needs.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.  Experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Maintenance Technicians – CL Facilities Repairs:   (2) FT - generally M-F 8:00 -4:30 - includes rotating on-call hours during evenings and weekends.  Responsible for up keep and repairs to KETCH facilities and residential properties. Company provides tools, vehicle for use at work, and a clean working environment. Must have general maintenance knowledge and work experience; be able to use hand tools, power tools, and light shop equipment; and have good communication skills.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less.  Requires HS diploma/GED, verifiable maintenance experience, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.

Maintenance Technician - Grounds:  Part time - Steady hours year round!  M-F 8 a.m.–12 p.m.   Responsible for providing grounds and exterior property upkeep and maintenance at all KETCH facilities and residential properties.  Responsible for following safety policies and procedures and performing duties in a cost effective and efficient manner.  Must have general maintenance knowledge and work experience; be able to use hand tools, power tools, and light shop equipment; and have good communication skills.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, good driving record, knowledge of mowing equipment and techniques, and geographical knowledge of the Wichita area.  Will require working in extreme weather/temperature conditions.

Production Aide:  (2) FT  8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Responsible to work in a production/assembly area on various contracts using procedures for job set-up, production scheduling, and quality control.  Track production and inventory requirements.  Responsible for proper handling/care of equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.  Requires HS diploma/GED.  Production and assembly experience preferred.

Regional Manager – Community Living:  (1-FT)  M-F 10:00-6:30.  Regional Managers have a leadership role in coordinating residential services for individuals with intellectual/development disabilities, monitoring quality of services, and managing the Direct Support teams.  Requires supervisory experience, 6 months I/DD experience, BS/BA degree or comparable experience, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.

Residential Supervisor:  (2) 10th St & Rushpointe 6900.  FT, Mon-Thurs plus alternating Sat/Sun 1:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.   A great opportunity to develop leadership skills. Responsible for training and supervision of the Direct Support team.   Provides and oversees daily care, safety and well being of persons served, and assures administrative tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis.  Participates in program planning, daily implementation, follow-up, and ongoing communication. Prefer at least two years of experience in direct services to persons with disabilities and prefer one year of supervisory and management experience.  Prefer direct experience in community living services and/or working with persons with I/DD.  Requires HS diploma or GED, good communication skills, valid KS drivers license, good driving record, and ability to lift 50 lbs - or ¼ of own body weight (whichever is less).

Vocational Trainer: (2-WS) FT M-F 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Responsible for supervising and direct training for persons served in the work services and vocational programs. Must be familiar with using a tape measure and have some basic math skills. Conducts assessments, participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team, and follows through in documenting training with persons served. Also responsible for production scheduling, job set-up, and quality control. Requires HS diploma/GED.

Warehouse Attendant/Quality Assurance Inspector:  FT position, M-F 7:30a-4:00p.  Responsible for shipping preparation, paperwork, delivery, and pick up of products and materials.  Maintains raw materials in the warehouse and assists in physical inventory counts.  Follows a quality assurance procedure to ensure all finished products meet specified quality requirements.  Includes lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license with good driving record, and experience with Microsoft Office products.  DOT physical and drug and alcohol testing will be required.  Experience in warehousing, inventory, quality assurance, and shipping/receiving software preferred.

Warehouse Supervisor:  FT position, M-F 7:30a-4:00p.  Expand your management experience with  responsibilities for our shipping and receiving. Responsible for maintaining the warehouse and inventory items in an efficient, logical manner and maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records. Schedules deliveries and transport of goods between work areas and the warehouse.  Ensures all finished products meet specified quality requirements, and directly supervises warehouse attendant. Includes lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.  Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license with good driving record, and experience with Microsoft Office products.  DOT physical and drug and alcohol testing will be required.  Experience in warehousing, inventory, quality assurance, and shipping/receiving software preferred.
